Not the same
I originally bought the speed pocket shorts back in 2019 and I still have two pairs that are flawless. These are not the same. They get the job done but just not as good. Plus they got rid of the two front hand pockets which stinks. I could also go with out the inside liner. The originals were fine, not sure why they had to change them.

Uncomfortable brief liner
I’ve been buying the speedpocket shorts for several years. The previous version where the removed the drawstring I think has been the most comfortable. This new version that has the added back zipper pocket has been the worst. They changed the material in the brief liner, it’s nowhere near as stretchy as the previous, feels kinda restrictive. I loved this shorts for running and for crosstraining, but it might be time to move on to something new.
